Winter Break Film Festival

We are celebrating books made into movies. Movies start at 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. No registration needed.

Tuesday, December 26  The Hideaways (G) This 1973 movie starring Ingrid Bergman is based on the Newbery Award winning book, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg.

Thursday, December 28  Child of Glass (Unrated) This 1978 production made of the Wonderful World of Disney is based on Richard Peck’s book, The Ghost Belonged to Me. Alexander and his friend Blossom work together to solve the mystery of the ghostly girl haunting Alexander’s new Louisiana home.

Friday, December 29  The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe  For our final Winter Break movie, we are spending time in Narnia where it is always winter but never Christmas, thanks to the decree of the White Witch. Join Lucy, Susan, Peter, and Edmund on their first journey to Narnia. This 2005 movie (PG) is, of course, based on the book of the same name by C. S. Lewis.
